Heavy-Duty Protection for Hardware & Components
Industrial products—valves, bearings, fasteners, and tools—are dense and heavy. They punish packaging. If a box bursts on a pallet, it creates a safety hazard and product loss. Rice Packaging specializes in High-Tear-Strength Packaging using substrate engineering.
Material Science for Industry:
-
Forte Board & CUK: We utilize unbleached, long-fiber kraft boards that offer 2x-3x the tear strength of standard recycled board.
-
Laminated Micro-Flutes (N & E): For items weighing 5lbs+, we laminate a printed sheet to a corrugated fluting. This provides the cushioning of a shipping box with the high-end print quality of a folding carton—perfect for retail hardware aisles.
Kitting & Assembly Services
Industrial clients often have complex SKUs involving multiple parts (e.g., a door handle with screws and instructions). Rice Packaging offers Kitting Services. We can manufacture the box, print the instruction booklet, source the poly bag, manually assemble the kit, and ship it to your distribution center ready for sale.
Yes. We understand that a non-scannable barcode results in chargebacks from retailers like Home Depot or Grainger. We use high-resolution digital plate-making and electronic verification systems to ensure every UPC and QR code is sharp and readable.
A standard folding carton (24pt) typically tops out around 3 lbs. However, our Laminated E-Flute cartons may hold items weighing 15-20 lbs or more, depending on the structural design and locking tabs.
Yes. VMI is ideal for industrial manufacturers with hundreds of SKUs. We can produce a year’s supply of your various box sizes, store them, and release them as you need them. This prevents you from running out of boxes for critical parts and saves you valuable warehouse space.
